Education
Dental and medical students taught the principles of bioregulation together, rather than in two buildings that never meet.

The Curatola Institute is a teaching and research body for biologic and bioregulatory care — founded on the argument that the two professions were never meant to be separate.
For a hundred years the mouth had its own schools, its own licences, its own literature. Physicians were not taught to look in it. Dentists were not taught to look past it.
The result: two professions treating one patient without speaking to each other. The Institute closes that gap where it actually gets fixed — in training.
More than ten thousand dentists across twelve countries have already been taught this work.
Dental and medical students taught the principles of bioregulation together, rather than in two buildings that never meet.
Continuing the oral-microbiome work that produced the mouth-body framework, and the products built on it.
A standard for what biologic practice actually means, so the term stops being a marketing word anyone can use.
Built to work across the profession. Not another organisation with a fence around it.
The Institute did not appear from nowhere. It is the formal shape of work that has been going on since 1983.
Colgate University. Biology and psychology, with a concentration in neuroscience.
Doctor of Dental Surgery, New York University. Postdoctoral training in biologic dentistry follows under Dr. Alan Pressman.
Pioneers biologic restorative and cosmetic dentistry and consults on the development of biocompatible restorative materials, years before the field had a name.
Trains with Dr. Werner Mörmann at the University of Zurich and becomes one of the first adopters of CEREC in the United States.
Harvard Medical School, programme in complementary and alternative medicine under Dr. David Eisenberg. The oral-microbiome research begins here.
Founds the Curatola Wing for Clinical Research at New York University to advance translational research, and receives the Acton Medal for his contribution to the university.
Founds Rejuvenation Dentistry on an integrative model joining restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry to a wellness-based approach.
Three United States patents for nutritional formulations, and the invention of Revitin® — the first prebiotic oral care formulation.
Every clinician here trained under Dr. Curatola. The teaching does not stay in a lecture hall. It walks into the operatory.

Thirty years teaching at NYU. The Mouth-Body Connection. The oral-microbiome research the field now starts from. The Institute is where that becomes a curriculum.
Rejuvenation Dentistry is where the Institute’s protocols are practised on real patients, every day, in two clinics. The research and the chair are not separate operations — one continually corrects the other.

Eight disciplines, from biological and restorative through to sleep, breathing and surgery.
